A License to Celebrate Girl Scouts

LANSING – Supporters of Girl Scouts Heart of Michigan may soon have a license to show their passion for the premier leadership organization for girls.
A bill was introduced by state lawmakers on September 11 asking Michigan’s Secretary of State to approve the creation and sale of a license plate recognizing Girl Scouts of the USA, the parent organization for GSHOM. Proceeds from the sale of each license plate will benefit GSHOM.
“This is such a fitting tribute as we prepare to close out out 100th anniversary celebrations and look ahead to all of the uniquely spectacular work we can do to raise girls of courage, confidence and character,” said Jan Barker, Chief Executive Officer of GSHOM. “The license plate will be a lasting momento of our first century as a girl-led, girl-driven organization.”
The license plate will be designed by GSUSA.
