The focus of this session is on what volunteers need to know about girl-led planning and teaching girls what they need to know about going on a Girl Scout trip to a Girl Scouts Heart of Michigan camp or property. Some of the topics covered are: the basic eight skills of outdoor objectives, menu planning, registration process, kaper charts, basic fire building (for warmth/ambiance/s'mores and safety), indoor cooking, food storage, pump safety, sanitation, and outdoor etiquette.

Required for: Leaders or designated outdoor skills resource adults in order to use our cabin and lodge facilities and do basic fire building.
