Adult Volunteering and Learning
Our volunteers are the heart and soul of our organization. If you are interested in becoming a troop leader or volunteering in any capacity, you will first fill out the Volunteer Application Packet (below). For current volunteers, we provide superior training opportunities throughout the year so you are well-prepared to work with girls.
Ceremonies and Events
Ceremonies are rooted deeply in Girl Scout tradition, and they are a truly memorable part of the Girl Scout experience. Events are fun ways for girls to get together with other troops and try new things. As always, leaders must obtain parent permission to take girls to a special event (below).
Registration and Recruitment
Girls and adults may register to be a Girl Scout at any time of the year. The Girl Scout membership year runs October 1 through September 30. For each year of membership, new or returning members will need to fill out a Membership Registration Form (below). Keeping memberships up-to-date will assure everyone can continue in the fun.
Travel and Field Trips
When girls see and experience new things, it's always an adventure they'll never forget. Before going on a field trip or traveling, leaders are required to take the Trip Planning Home Study Course (below). It includes information about grade level progression, budgeting, day trips, attending local and regional events, and how to prepare for a simple overnight.
Each year, troops enjoy exciting activities such as camping, overnights, Girl Scout Cookie and Treats & Reads product programs, and so much more. The possibilities are endless for what your troop can decide to do. Find forms below to allow your troop to run smoothly.
Volunteer Kick-off 2014 Notes
We had a blast at our Volunteer Kick-off events this year. Below, you'll find notes and a collection of documents that were distributed at these events. We hope to see you at a Kick-off event in August of 2015!
