On February 22, Girl Scouts and Girl Guides across 150 countries celebrate World Thinking Day—that’s one big celebration!

Promoted by the  World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS for short) along with Girl Scouts of the USA, World Thinking Day originated in 1926. That’s when delegates from around the globe met at Camp Edith Macy—now called Edith Macy Conference Center—in New York and agreed that February 22 would henceforth be known as a special day for Girl Guides & Girl Scouts worldwide.

Backed by 10 million Girl Guides and Girl Scouts in locations worldwide, World Thinking Day celebrates the diversity, equity, and inclusion reflected in our global movement.

Be a part of our World Thinking Day celebration!

Take a flight to each country as we host our very first
Girl Scout Heart of Michigan Council-Wide World Thinking Day Event!

Discover how our sisters are changing the world for the better while sharing games, traditions, S.W.A.P.S, and recipes! Each participant will receive a passport with hosting countries, an activity packet with items from participating countries, and a World Thinking Day Fun Patch.

This year our event will be virtual & hosted via Zoom. Each country will have a specific link and time that participants can log in to “fly over” and choose which places they want to visit!
