Let’s learn about our Capitol history, and what the Governor and senators do! Admire the hand-painted decorative art, and learn stories form Michigan’s past. Learn what our government does for us and how you can help. While at the Capitol work on your democracy badge and leave with a list of requirments to be completed.

Note: Participants will receive a fun patch. Adult chaperones will be required

This program will spark the interests in the following career paths: elected official, tour guide, historian

Outcomes: D2, D4, C4, C5, T5

GSHOM’s goal is to offer quality programs to as many girls as possible. At least two adults must accompany every troop/group to an event. In order to serve as many girls as possible, and make sure there is plenty of space to provide the program, troops are asked to keep their adult-to-girl ratio to the ratio specified in Volunteer Essentials for Events/Programs. Please click here for the link to Safety Activity Checkpoints and refer to page 5.

Troops/groups that register more adults than listed in the ratio listed above may be asked to limit the number of adults to the correct ratio.
