Let’s branch out! Come learn about parts of a tree and their function. In the woods, we will examine each stage of a tree’s life. As we move through the tree’s life cycle, learn how each stage is important in its growth and contributes to the forest habitat in which it lives. Discuss why and how we should preserve a healthy and well-balanced forest.
Note: Participants will receive the Trees Badge. Adult chaperones will be required .
This program will spark interest in the following career paths:
arborist, forestry, environmental

GSHOM’s goal is to offer quality programs to as many girls as possible. At least two adults must accompany every troop/group to an event. In order to serve as many girls as possible, and make sure there is plenty of space to provide the program, troops are asked to keep their adult-to-girl ratio to the ratio specified in Volunteer Essentials for Events/Programs. Troops/groups that register more adults than listed in the ratio listed above may be asked to limit the number of adults to the correct ratio.
