Have you ever wondered what its like to breathe underwater or dreamed of exploring a coral reef? Try scuba diving to see if you like it! Youll learn the basics you need to dive under the watchful eyes of dive professionals from Adventure Aquatics. Explore scuba diving equipment, find out about Great Lakes underwater topography, and learn some basic skills and safety rules.

REQUIRED: In the Special Circumstances text box, please provide the girl's height, weight, pant size and shoe size.

Note: Girl Scouts will complete online modules before the dive session. Participants will receive a fun patch for this event. Adult chaperones will be required.

This program will spark interest in the following career paths: dive instructor, marine biologist

Outcomes: D3, D4, D5, C4, T2

GSHOMs goal is to offer quality programs to as many girls as possible. At least two adults must accompany every troop/group to an event. In order to serve as many girls as possible, and make sure there is plenty of space to provide the program, troops are asked to keep their adult-to-girl ratio to the ratio specified in Volunteer Essentials for Events/Programs. Please click here for the link to Safety Activity Checkpoints and refer to page 5.

Troops/groups that register more adults than listed in the ratio listed above may be asked to limit the number of adults to the correct ratio.
