Holidays

Girl Scouts Heart of Michigan (GSHOM) normally recognizes the following paid holidays each year:
• New Year’s Day
• Martin Luther King Jr. Day
• Memorial Day
• Juneteenth

• Thanksgiving Day
• Day After Thanksgiving
• Christmas Day
• 2 additional days before or after Christmas as determined by CEO
• Floating Holiday per calendar year (1)
• Personal Days per calendar year (3)

Vacation Time

Accumulation begins on the first day of full-time employment. From date of hire and up, staff accrue hours monthly.

Sick Time

All full-time hourly staff start accruing sick leave upon hire. Salaried staff accumulate sick leave from the date of hire, for a total accrual of 12 days (96 hours) per year (8 hours a month). Accrued hours are available only after successful completion of the first three months of employment.
