Girl Scouts Heart of Michigan is delighted to announce the receipt of a $5,000 grant from the Marshall Community Foundation. This funding will support local Girl Scouts in Marshall, life-changing Girl Scout programming, and provide more opportunities for girls to develop essential life skills, explore new interests, and build confidence.
The Marshall Community Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving quality of life in Marshall, and throughout Calhoun County. The Foundation holds permanently endowed funds from a range of donors, and serves as a conduit for special projects and the distribution of grants in support of innovative programs like this one. “Girl Scouts helps communities by providing an experience that increases girls’ self-confidence, fosters healthy relationships, and empowers them to make a difference in the world,” said Lyah Van Sickle, Chief Development Officer for Girl Scouts Heart of Michigan. “We are delighted to announce a partnership with the Marshall Community Foundation. This aid will support recruitment of future Girl Scouts and current Girl Scouts in Marhsall. This partnership will ensure Girl Scouts consistently have opportunities to learn about and experience future career paths they may have never considered,” Van Sickle continued.
