Since 1974, Girl Scouts have had the distinguished honor of serving through the Mackinac Island Service Program. This one-of-a-kind opportunity invites girls to play a meaningful role on one of Michigan’s most historic destinations. Selected applicants spend seven days serving the State of Michigan, taking on important responsibilities and experiencing the island in a truly unique way. Through dedication, service, and plenty of unforgettable moments, girls become part of a proud Girl Scout tradition that has created lasting memories for generations.

Be stationed to help visitors & answer questions about the island throughout the day.

Need assistance? Please fill out our scholarship form to request funding for the Mackinac Island Scout Service Program.
Assistance applications are accepted only after girls have been selected to be a part of one of our two Mackinac Island Scout Service Program troops for this Girl Scout year.
Applications for assistance will not be reviewed until after January 2027
