Take a look at our full week day camp options at our Kalamazoo Regional Center and a newly added week of day camp at our Camp Linden property.
Our Kalamazoo Day Camp is an excellent opportunity to establish a summer camp tradition! Each week, she'll experience an exciting theme, try out new activities while earning a badge or a fun patch, visit camp on a field trip, and embark on adventures with new friends.
Plus, our Kalamazoo Day Campers will go on a field trip to Camp Merrie Woode every week to explore the wonders of nature!
Welcome to our newest Linden Day Camp week session, where adventure, learning, and friendship come together!
During this week of camp, she'll experience the outdoors at our camp, gain new skills, and build lasting memories. Enjoy various activities like hiking, arts and crafts, slingshots, silly songs, and fun-filled team-building games.
We also have other events at our camp properties designed for troops and families, which are an excellent option for first-time and seasoned campers to come out for the day!
Come and experience the many opportunities at beautiful Camp O’ the Hills. Some of the adventures troops and families will share include, canoeing, kayaking, archery, slingshots, BB guns, hatchets, craft, all led by our trained
staff.
Includes the following meals: Lunch and afternoon snack.
Lodge, cabin and tent overnight camping are available to add on.
Join us for an exciting day where equine enthusiasts can dive into the world of horses! This hands-on event is designed for those who want to learn all about caring for these magnificent animals. Throughout the day, they'll engage in interactive sessions led by experienced equestrians and a veterinarian.
Discover essential horse care techniques, from grooming and feeding to understanding basic health needs, and take a trail ride through our beautiful tree lined paths. There will be a special demonstration on physical care, where they'll learn how to check for signs of health and well-being in horses. Saddle up for a fun day with these gentle giants that you won’t soon forget!
AM Session: 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM | PM Session: 2:00 - 5:00 PM
Come out for a horse lesson and trail ride at Camp Merrie Woode! Trail ride blocks are 3 hours long and will include instructions on horse safety, horse care, practice in the arena, and then a trail ride around the property of beautiful Camp Merrie Woode. Trail ride sessions are offered twice a day in the AM and the PM
Trail ride participants must wear pants and closed toe shoes.
Put hammer to steel and learn all about blacksmithing at Camp Merrie Woode! Learn all fire safety, essential tools, and fundamental blacksmithing techniques in this oneday clinic. Hone your skills and get a taste for this ancient art. All participants will leave with a hand-forged trinket.
Campers need to bring a sack lunch. All participants will need to wear closed-toe shoes and cotton clothing.
Climb to your heart’s content at Camp Merrie Woode. Tackle all of the heights in this exciting day program. Climb an indoor and (weather permitting) outdoor rock wall, attempt recreational tree climbing, and try your hand at crate stacking! Work alone or as a team as you go through all of these challenges.
Campers need to bring a sack lunch. All participants will need to wear closed-toe shoes and pants/long shorts.
