
These events are for girls in grades K-12th and families unless specified otherwise. Adults are required to accompany girls. Refer to the Safety Activity Checkpoints to find the minimum adult to youth ratio. Juliettes are welcome with an accompanying adult.
The name Jamboree is derived from the Swahili word “jambo” meaning “hello”, and at this classic and exciting event, you’ll get the chance to say hello to your Girl Scout friends and family from across the state! Meet friends from other troops, bring and create S.W.A.P.S. to share with your fellow Girl Scouts, and celebrate Girl Scout traditions all weekend long with camp activities from boating to tie dye to archery and so much more! Stay for the whole weekend of fun, or come out for Saturday only to enjoy a day of adventure!
Observe and record the amazing turtle nesting season at Camp O’ the Hills. During the month of June, the native Michigan turtle species come into camp for the annual nesting season. Learn to build and update nesting boxes and predator screens to help save the nests and identify the different species. Help collect and document one of the wonders of nature for our annual report.
The fun starts Friday night at the campfire with a snack and songs! On Saturday, your troop will explore camp together. Some of the adventures you’ll enjoy include: canoeing, kayaking, archery, BB guns, sling-shots, hatchets, letterboxing, geocaching, and crafts. Join us for a weekend filled with adventures, fun, friends, and memories!
Howdy hey Girl Scouts! Saddle up for an unforgettable journey as we explore the wild West. You’ll search for hidden treasure, create your very own wanted posters, enjoy cowboy bingo, and compete in our hobby horse obstacle course, all while participating in some of our favorite camp activities like slingshot, archery, and s'mores. You can bring any adult woman over the age of 18 for this rootin’ tootin’ weekend! Yee haw!
Experience the joy of bonding with your gal at our Me and My Gal Slumber Party Sleepover at Camp Merrie Woode! From cozy campfire evenings to engaging craft sessions, you’ll create lasting memories together. Enjoy classic activities like slingshots and rock climbing plus a DIY spa experience and pajama dance party! Each moment is an opportunity to connect, share stories, and embrace the great outdoors together! you can bring any adult woman over the age of 18 for this fun weekend!
Bring the whole family for this wild adventure at Camp Merrie Woode! Do fun camp activities like rock climbing, boating, or swimming, all while learning about survival skills and nature. Learn how to build a fantastic fire, use pocketknives responsibly, tie useful knots, and cook your dinner over a fire! Take a serene night hike and end the evening by looking at the stars over the lake at Reed’s Landing.
