Kalamazoo Day Camp
Day Camp is conveniently located in our Kalamazoo Regional Center in the heart of Kalamazoo. Day Camp runs for eight continuous weeks! More than half our time each week is spent outside. Day Camp is a fantastic way to start a summer camp tradition where each week, she’ll enjoy an exciting theme, try new things while earning a badge or fun patch, visit camp on a field trip, and go on adventures with new friends.
Camp Merrie Woode is a home away from home for our Kalamazoo Day Camp! Day Campers travel from the Kalamazoo Regional Center to Camp Merrie Woode for a field trip each week to enjoy the great outdoors!

Blast off! This week you will have an out of this world experience learning about space, experimenting with gravity, trying astronaut food, and so much more!
Girl Scout Games
Fun, Games, Sisterhood - Together. This week, you’ll get to perform in the Day Camp Olympic games! Work with your team to take home as many gold trefoils as you can while exploring what it means to be a team-player and to show good sportsmanship.
Tell Your Story
This week is all about you! You’ll practice the basics of storytelling, acting, and writing by learning to tell your story and to talk about something you feel passionate about. At the end of the week we will have an optional showcase for everyone to share their passions with each other!
Once Upon a Time
Unicorns, Fairies, and… Dinosaurs? Once upon a time, in the far off kingdom of Kalamazoo, there’s the perfect session for your camper! This week, we’ll design and engineer miniature castles, go on a unicorn scavenger hunt, and even hatch mini dinosaurs encased in ice!
Wonders of Water
Splish Splash! Make sure you bring a towel and your best pair of beach shades because this week we’ll discover the wonders of water! Did you know that your body is over 50% water? Find out even more about water and your place in the water cycle through experiments, games, and activities at our regional center and Camp Merrie Woode’s waterfront.
Camp Takeover!
Take over Camp Merrie Woode! Get a taste of what camp has to offer! Girls will have a chance to experience the magic of camp, from adventuring up the rock wall and activities at the waterfront, to trying their hands at slingshots and archery. And no trip to camp would be complete without tie dye and s’mores!
Craft Crazy
Let your creativity run wild. It’s time to unleash your inner artist! This week, we’re going to let your creativity rule with messy shaving cream crafts, water balloon painting, and all the crazy crafts of your wildest dreams!
Camp Cuisine
Calling all chefs, gastronomes, and food lovers! This week, you’ll be taking a deep dive into food science and preparation. Each day we’ll be preparing and eating our own special snack!
