Want to see how honey is made? Get an inside look at the lives of honeybees from a local beekeeper! Learn how to identify different types of bees in the hive, their different jobs, and how they make honeycomb. Look inside active hives to see the bees at workwill you spot the queen?

Note: Juniors will earn and receive the Honeybee Badge. Cadettes will receive a fun patch. Adult chaperones will be required
This program will spark interest in the following career paths: beekeeper, environmentalist
Outcomes: D3, D5, C5, T1, T4

GSHOMs goal is to offer quality programs to as many girls as possible. At least two adults must accompany every troop/group to an event. In order to serve as many girls as possible, and make sure there is plenty of space to provide the program, troops are asked to keep their adult-to-girl ratio to the ratio specified in Volunteer Essentials for Events/Programs. Please click here for the link to Safety Activity Checkpoints and refer to page 5.

Troops/groups that register more adults than listed in the ratio listed above may be asked to limit the number of adults to the correct ratio.
