Elizabeth Garvey is from Howell, Michigan, and has two adult children and five grandchildren. She is a Wilmington College graduate in English, psychology, religion & secondary education, followed by two master's degrees from Michigan State University.
Elizabeth has volunteered in various organizations, such as the Salvation Army and Girl Scouts; she also hosted a weekly radio program, "Radio Storytime," for over 15 years. Elizabeth and her husband spent ten years restoring an 1887 Victorian house. She has also taught English in Poland and in China. Now retired, she enjoys traveling the world for missions and adventures and hopes to write a book someday.
