Celebrations Across Continents is an empowering, educational, and engaging program designed for your Girl Scouts to explore the beauty and diversity of global cultures through the lens of celebrations, festivals, and traditions. We invite you and your Girl Scouts to discover how girls and women around the world celebrate life, family, heritage, and milestones. This program is for Girl Scouts who are curious about the world, love creative expression, and want to build confidence, cultural appreciation, and community.
Note: Adult chaperones will be required.
Outcomes: D1, D4, C4, C5, T1, T3
GSHOM's goal is to offer quality programs to as many girls as possible. At least two adults must accompany every troop/group to an event. In order to serve as many girls as possible, and make sure there is plenty of space to provide the program, troops are asked to keep their adult-to-girl ratio to the ratio specified in Volunteer Essentials for Events/Programs. Please click here for the link to Safety Activity Checkpoints and refer to page 7. Cancellations require two weeks' notice to be eligible for a refund.
Troops/groups that register more adults than listed in the ratio listed above may be asked to limit the number of adults to the correct ratio.
