Do you know how to use everything in a first aid kit? Could you help out in a medical emergency? Come to this state of the art simulation center at Western Michigan University, Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine for hands-on learning experiences with medical students and professionals.
Note: Girl Scouts will earn and receive the First Aid Badge. Adult chaperones will be required.
This program will spark interest in the following career paths: doctor, nurse, paramedic

GSHOM's goal is to offer quality programs to as many girls as possible. At least two adults must accompany every troop/group to an event. In order to serve as many girls as possible, and make sure there is plenty of space to provide the program, troops are asked to keep their adult-to-girl ratio to the ratio specified in Volunteer Essentials for Events/Programs. Please click here for the link to Safety Activity Checkpoints and refer to page 5. Cancellations require two weeks' notice to be eligible for a refund.
Troops/groups that register more adults than listed in the ratio listed above may be asked to limit the number of adults to the correct ratio.
