Flavors of the World is a deliciously fun and culturally enriching program created for Girl Scouts to explore global cultures through food. Each session takes participants on a culinary journey to a different country, where they'll learn about traditional dishes, ingredients, customs, and the stories behind the meals that bring people together. More than just cooking, this program fosters curiosity, creativity, and connection - helping Girl Scouts build confidence, teamwork skills, and a deeper appreciation for cultures around the globe.
Note: Adult chaperones will be required.
Outcomes: D1, D4, C4, C5, T1, T3
GSHOM's goal is to offer quality programs to as many girls as possible. At least two adults must accompany every troop/group to an event. In order to serve as many girls as possible, and make sure there is plenty of space to provide the program, troops are asked to keep their adult-to-girl ratio to the ratio specified in Volunteer Essentials for Events/Programs. Please click here for the link to Safety Activity Checkpoints and refer to page 7. Cancellations require two weeks' notice to be eligible for a refund.
Troops/groups that register more adults than listed in the ratio listed above may be asked to limit the number of adults to the correct ratio.
