International Day of the Girl is a moment to highlight, discuss, and take action to advance the rights and opportunities of girls across the globe. Your Girl Scout will get to learn how to champion her leadership skills by educating and inspiring others to be part of the change, advocate for herself and others, and will discover the ways she can make the world a better place through Girl Scouts Highest Awards. Your Girl Scout will learn how to prepare to meet with leaders in her community to share her voice in spaces where decisions are made.

Note:  Adult chaperones will be required.

Outcomes: D1, D4, C4, C5, T1, T3

GSHOM's goal is to offer quality programs to as many girls as possible. At least two adults must accompany every troop/group to an event. In order to serve as many girls as possible, and make sure there is plenty of space to provide the program, troops are asked to keep their adult-to-girl ratio to the ratio specified in Volunteer Essentials for Events/Programs. Please click here for the link to Safety Activity Checkpoints and refer to page 7. Cancellations require two weeks' notice to be eligible for a refund.

Troops/groups that register more adults than listed in the ratio listed above may be asked to limit the number of adults to the correct ratio.
