Mmm, tasty! Work with the Michigan State University Food Lab to learn how to use different cooking equipment during a kitchen scavenger hunt. Prepare a nutritious breakfast, lunch, dinner, or dessert dish to your own tastes. Learn about food safety and science and chow down on your own culinary creations!

Note: Please make us aware of any food allergies or dietary restrictions. Girl Scouts will earn and receive the Junior Simple Meals Badge. Adult chaperones will be required.
This program will spark interest in the following career paths: chef, baker, food chemist
Outcomes: D2, D3, C5, T2

GSHOM's goal is to offer quality programs to as many girls as possible. At least two adults must accompany every troop/group to an event. In order to serve as many girls as possible, and make sure there is plenty of space to provide the program, troops are asked to keep their adult-to-girl ratio to the ratio specified in Volunteer Essentials for Events/Programs. Please click here for the link to Safety Activity Checkpoints and refer to page 7. Cancellations require two weeks' notice to be eligible for a refund.

Troops/groups that register more adults than listed in the ratio listed above may be asked to limit the number of adults to the correct ratio.
