Join us at Charles River, Mattawan, the world's largest non-clinical research site, for an exploration of local STEM careers. Hear from real-world, female scientists on how they contribute to bringing vital medicines safely to people and pets around the world, followed by hands-on STEM activities demonstrating some of the science used by scientists in their day-to-day.

Note: Girls will earn and receive the STEM Career Exploration badge. A free pizza dinner is included. Adult chaperones will be required.

Outcomes: D1, D3, D5, C2, T2

GSHOM's goal is to offer quality programs to as many girls as possible. At least two adults must accompany every troop/group to an event. In order to serve as many girls as possible, and make sure there is plenty of space to provide the program, troops are asked to keep their adult-to-girl ratio to the ratio specified in Volunteer Essentials for Events/Programs. Please click here for the link to Safety Activity Checkpoints and refer to page 7. Cancellations require two weeks' notice to be eligible for a refund.

Troops/groups that register more adults than listed in the ratio listed above may be asked to limit the number of adults to the correct ratio.
