In addition to traditional camp activities, all campers attending camp will participate in themed activities such as all-camp games, competitions, and dinners. Themes are "Once Upon a Time" and "Outta This World." Horseback riding is only available if a Horseback Riding Camp session is selected.
Entering Grades 11-12 | 13 Days | Tent Accommodations | $765
Once you've completed Counselor in Training I, head back to camp to
build upon the skills you've learned. During this two-week program,
you will explore the program areas at camp and the basics of
developing and delivering a camp program. CIT IIs will shadow the
leadership team and work alongside them to facilitate programs. This
session includes GSHOM archery training and slingshot range
training.
Prerequisite: Completion of Counselor
in Training I
CIT IIs who complete the program will earn and receive the
Counselor in Training II pin.
Entering Grades 8-12 | 13 Days | Tent Accommodations | $1360
This session is for the equestrian lover who is looking to advance
their skills. You will learn proper riding form for cantering, how to
turn your horse at a canter, barrel patterns, and stopping and
backing your horse. This program will include a trail ride
through Camp Linden. This session is designed to help teach riders how
to properly prepare for owning a horse with an introduction on
budgeting along with beginner medical care. There will be
morning feedings and mucking. Throughout this two-week program, you
will continue to develop your riding skills, learn show patterns,
perform daily care for the horses (grooming, washing, mucking, etc.),
trail riding, and perform in a fun horse show at the end to show
off your learning!
